Sea Kayaking 101 |

A comprehensive course involving strokes, rescues, and touches on rolling. This all day course is suited for beginner and intermediate paddlers. This course covers everything you need to know to paddle safely in large bodies of water. |

Sea Kayaking 101 |

Learn to Roll 102 |

Always wanted to roll your kayak, this is the course for you. Participants will first practice and learn all the different rescues including self-rescue, then be prepared to get wet. Participants are encouraged to wear a wetsuit, paddling top, and have neoprene booties. Nose plugs are also highly recommended. If you are bringing your own whitewater or touring kayak, a neoprene spray skirt is a must. We will cover both the screw roll and the short and long pallotta roll. |

Intro to Sea Kayaking |

Learn to paddle the open waters of Last Mountain Lake. This overnight trip is the perfect tuneup for a longer adventure in your future. You will receive instruction in paddling and rescue techniques. Our expert guides will show you how to properly equip and pack your boat for an open water experience. |

Paddling Canada Level 1 Lakewater A and B |
May 23rd-25th 2008 |
This certification course briefly covers the canoe strokes of the flatwater courses then moves into the maneuvers performed using the strokes. This course covers tandem and solo skills and each part is tested individually. This course covers a lot of information and previous paddling experience is a must. Upon completion a candidate can pass both tandem and solo for a complete Level 1 certification or they may only complete the Level 1A certification. To register please come in to Fresh Air Experience in Regina to fill out the registration form, the Paddling Canada waiver, and pay the registration fee in full. Weeknight Canoe Lessons |

Lessons perfect for those who would like to learn to canoe better. Sure everyone says they know how, but we guarantee you there is always room for improvment. This course covers the basic and intermediate paddling strokes and rescues necessary for those canoeists interested in canoe tripping and whitewater. |

Paddle Canada Canoe Tripping Level 1 |

Candidates must have some canoeing skills. This course involves a 3 day 2 night canoe trip on the Churchill River. Some of the skills learned will be food prep, travel techniques, environmental concerns, camping skills, trip planning, and risk management. This course is tons of fun and required for anyone interested in guiding or currently takes groups out canoe tripping. |

Starting Wednesday May 2nd Fresh Air will be down at the
Wascana Marina every Wednesday with canoes and kayaks available to test paddle.
We will be there from 5:30 till 7:00 pm. A selection of PFD's and paddles will
be available as well. If you would like to try a specific boat, then please call
or email the store the Tuesday prior so we can accommodate you. Demo's will be
cancelled due to high winds or rain, so please check the store Wednesday prior
to 5:30pm for the latest details.
